Social Impact Partners (SIP) today announced Ms. Josephine Price has been appointed as the new Chairperson. Josephine has served SIP as an advisor since 2014, she’s an experienced Asian-based private equity practitioner with over 30 years of emerging markets experience.
Josephine is co-founder of Anthem Asia, an independent, women-led investment group focused on investing in small- and medium-sized enterprises in Myanmar. Impact goals include creating jobs, encouraging diversity and women-led businesses, improving transparency, and raising ESG standards. She also advises a regional impact fund and a Vietnam investment group.
Previously, Josephine spent 13 years with CLSA Capital Partners where she co-founded CLSA’s pan-Asian private equity platform. From 1995 to 2008, she was managing director and deputy CEO of CLSA Capital Partners, and product head for the pan-Asian Growth and Expansion Capital team.
Josephine trained and practiced as a lawyer in the UK and Hong Kong before moving into finance. She is a trustee of the Croucher Foundation, Hong Kong.
We believe Josephine will help SIP bring a greater impact to Hong Kong society.
The board thanks Mr. Roy Kuan’s contribution as Chairperson over the past eight years. Under Roy’s leadership, SIP successfully raised two rounds of funding totaling HK$26 million and supported seven social purpose organisations. Roy will stay on the board and support SIP as he always has done.
